Description

These boots have caribou skin uppers with the hair on the outside, and soles made of dehaired moose skin. A reinforcing patch is sewn to the heels of each of the boots, and hide lacings are attached to the seams joining the upper and lower parts of the boots. The cuffs at the openings are made from separate pieces of caribou skins that have been folded over and sewn down to hold cotton cord draw strings.
