Description

Saw with an iron blade and a handle made of whale bone. The blade is rectangular, and has teeth along both edges. The blade is set into a bed cut into one face of the handle, and is held in place with three copper rivets. On the opposite face of the handle are three shallow circle and dot’ incisions, which may have signified ownership of the tool.
