Description

A pair of man’s boots. The soles are made from bleached seal hide with tight pleating around the fore portion of the foot and the heels. The uppers are made from fox and minks skins, and are joined to the sole by a pointed vamp made of a strip of dehaired dark seal hide.

FROM CARD: "KNEE-LENGTH BOOTS MADE OF PIECED-TOGETHER MINK AND FOX SKINS. UPPER LEG IS JOINED TO SOLE BY A 2 CM WIDE STRIP OF SKIN. SOLE IS VERY NEATLY CRIMPED, HEEL AND TOE, AND EXTENDS UP ON SIDE AND TOP OF FOOT. L.L.L., 1976.
