Description

Pipe made almost entirely from wood. The pipe stem is in two longitudinal sections that have been bound together with a baleen wrapping. Strips of hide were laid along the junctures of the two sections before they were bound together, presumably to seal the joints. One end has been shaped to serve as a bowl for holding tobacco.
