Description

The top sections of the uppers of these boots are made from caribou skins. A cuff made of skin sewn around the opening of each boot holds a drawstring made of fabric. The bottom parts of the uppers are made of pieces of seal skin with the hair outside, and the soles are made from de-haired seal skin. The soles are crimped at the front and back to follow the shape of the foot. Loops made from skin attached to the top part of the soles hold laces for wrapping around the boot.
